BACHELOR THESIS AT UDK DEMO
platform collecting degrowth spaces and projects in Berlin
The current economic and social paradigm is “faster, higher, further”. But what happens when we begin to question this logic? Degrowth focuses on reducing production and consumption in the Global North while fostering social transformation and building open, connected, and localized economies.
Elephants & Snails is an online platform created to collect and increase the visibility of ideas that support degrowth in Berlin. It invites users to explore projects in their surroundings and encourages them to get involved in local initiatives. To make complex relationships easier to understand, the articles integrate playful and engaging infographics. These visuals break down systemic connections and encourage readers to reflect, learn, and imagine alternative ways of organizing our economy and society.
I worked together with degrowth activists who contributed as authors, bringing their perspectives, research, and experiences into the platform.
